Yet for all my feelings about Stephen, he is in my mind probably the greatest Snooker player there has ever been. What makes him best is his potting under pressure. Any good player can pot balls, but he can pot them best when the pressure is really on. He always produces his best from the most pressured situation, usually the World Championship. And when you think you’ve got him safe, he’ll pot a red and make a hundred off it. […] All these things are why I say that he is arguably the best ever.
